Short & Sweet - Why Conservatism is Superior to Liberalism & Progressivism

I had a bit of an epiphany in the past couple of days; Conservatism is superior to Liberalism and Progressivism because it does not mandate HOW people live, but rather allows them to live, how THEY want, in freedom and liberty from Gov't control. Conservatism, philosophically constrains government from overstepping its intended boundaries to ensure people are free to be, pursue, and become what they choose.

Your thoughts and opinions as to the ramifications, implications, or alternatives are welcome.

  1. Actually, I agree with your comment, but I have seen way too many Republicans(the largest body claiming conservative ideals) too easily sell out on the issues of personal and financial freedom!

  2. I concur. Please realize that there are both Democrat and Republican Progressives. Both are equally bad. One is Poison, the other Poison Lite. Both will kill you, it's just a matter of how quickly.

  3. Not sure about the Poison Lite, to me, I see the poison as equally potent.
There is also a problem with perception. True conservatives are generous and quick to lend a hand. Republicans of late seem to see these characteristics as bad press. Thus, they appear, and in some instances are mean spirited and selfish. People don't want to elect people that appear to be this way.
